Ordering Posts

I should probably preface this with an idiot alert but the threads seem randomly to re-order themselves in descending date order. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a switch to prevent this? Thanks.

By default, threads should display messages in linear chronological order (that is oldest first), but you can change this behaviour in your control panel. See User CP / Edit Options / Thread Display Option.
