There was a hack attack on thebigview.com yesterday morning. Somebody tried to log into the admin account repeatedly for almost 2 hours. The account was locked down automatically. Our server has a record of this activity which originated in Hong Kong. Today I have contacted the administration of the Hong Kong hosting company to report this case and to ask them to investigate.

Watch out Thomas. There is potential intrusion of malware at the thread correct me on the philosophy (http://thebigview.com/forum/showthread.php?p=87952#post87952).
Here is what I see:

Thomas, the same thing comes up on the Lego thread. Forgive my ignorance, but what is it?

It didn't show in Firefox. Is that Zone Alarm complaining? The message appears a little exaggerated.
I suppose it has to do with the hot-linked image in the spam posts. Probably the server where the image is hosted is blacklisted. I have deleted the posts and banned the account. No worries.

Regarding the hack attack in July:
I have contacted the hosting company twice about the abuse. They never responded. The attacks originated at www.hostfresh.com in Hong Kong. Either this this company doesn't respond to abuse reports or they don't care about security, or possibly both.
The domain is registered under:
HostFresh Internet
Host Master (hostmaster@hostfresh.com)
+852.65223388
No. 500, Post Office, Tuen Mun, N.T.,
Hong Kong
Another hosting company to avoid!
