Beaches in Thailand

Some beaches "off the beaten track" which few foreign visitors get to see. These locations don't have much of a tourist infrastructure yet. You find mostly locals and Thai tourists here.

Here are a few images from the countryside.

Rice fields are a common sight everywhere in Thailand. This one in Pathumthani is dotted with sugar palm trees.

Yet another rice field near Petchabun in Central Thailand.

Seagulls and mangrove forests at the mouth of the Chaophraya river.

A mangrove swamp from the inside. A home for countless critters and birds.

Thailand has many small lakes (few big ones) such as this one near Ratchaburi.

Untamed wilderness can be found in the Kanchanaburi province near Burma.

Roof tops in Suphanburi, a small town in Central Thailand.

At the end of the hot season, the central plains are sun-drenched, dry and dusty.

The monsoon rains change this and dress the landscape in saturated greens.

Yes, amazing images Thomas. You were being far too modest when you suggested you lacked an artistic eye with a camera in hand!

No gators, but lots of crabs and snakes.

I am glad you like the photos. As mentioned, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then...
