Hello, I just recently got interested in buddhism. I've done some reading on it, but there are things I don't quite understand. Such as meditation....what exactly is meditation? how is it done? So far i've read the four noble truths and the eight path....I understand the jist of it. But about the desires, does sexual desires count? If you can give me any help....or some different point of views I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, anonymous:
I'm hardly an expert on Buddhism, but some of these websites should provide a cursory introduction:
BuddhaNet (http://www.buddhanet.net/)
More on Buddhism (http://buddhism.kalachakranet.org/)
And of course, buddhist information courtesy of thebigview.com itself:
thebigview's Buddhist Page (http://www.thebigview.com/buddhism/)
Hope this helps!
btw, I love your signature! B)

No problem :) If you need more links, I'd suggest you contact spiritual emergency, who always seems to have a helpful link no matter what the occasion.
