There are many people who subscribe but never post. These accounts are automatically deleted after some time.

I wonder if he was referring to the line found near the bottom of each page:

I gather that an "Anonymous User" is what I'd be if I checked the "Hide" box on the login page as I logged in.

Speaking of logging in -- I'm finding it impossible to predict when the system will "remember" me and log me in automatically and when it won't. Sometimes I make sure to check the "Remember" box (or whatever it's called) but the system doesn't remember me the next time after all. Other times it does, even when I make no attempt to log in. Tonight, when I was already logged in, I opened thebigview again in a new window to look at something in a different discussion -- and found myself being welcomed there as "Guest".
