I have "refactored" thebigview.com . The code is now 100% XHTML standards-compliant and validates with W3C and HTML-Tidy. I have replaced table-based layouts by block elements and CSS positioning and removed all presentational markup. Frames were replaced by IFRAMES. The existing visual design was preserved; I just made some minor improvements here and there. The changes apply to the site itself, not to the discussion board. The HTML generated by the discussion board software is less than "clean" and I don't want to touch it. I rather change the whole thing at the next update cycle.

If you notice any errors on thebigview.com pages, kindly let me know.

I should say that I did not design for backward compatibility beyond IE6, NN7, and Mozilla4. If you have an older browser, some features might not work. Even IE6 is becoming outdated, as it doesn't support the full set of W3C standards. I recommend the Firefox browser (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/). It's safer and better than Internet Explorer.

Cheers, Thomas
