Maybe the Tao Te Ching section could be expanded by adding the Chinese text as well?
I mean... put the chinese version on one side and the english version on the other...

It might be interesting to compare....

I thought about it, too. This would require either Chinese fonts or using images for the display of the Chinese text. If we use fonts, then users who don't have Chinese fonts installed will see something ugly which would mess up the page layout. If we use images, the page load/response time will increase. In view of this technical "cost" I decided not to include the Chinese text. I think that the benefit of having the Chinese version is comparably small, given that thebigview.com addresses an English speaking community of which only a small percentage can read Chinese.

Cheers, Thomas

Huuum... I see... <_<

Maybe some CSS flexibility, to fix the messy page layout, or even beter, the abiltiy to download the chinese font, or choose whether you want it to be displayed or not?
Well, anyways... it was just an idea... B)

Given the proper encoding meta tag, most browsers attempt to download the font automatically when encountering a UTF character set. However, the browser always asks the user, and 19 times out of 20 the user clicks "no" which leaves him with a messed up page full of question marks. I don't know how to fix this with CSS. Dynamic server pages (PHP) could solve this problem perhaps, but honestly, I got other things to do...

If you want to give it a shot, I will gladly send you the HTML code.

Cheers, Thomas

Hey "thruthseeker", You are very busy, but how do you have the time to post ? You have used this site to post your thoughts/knowledge. Are they important? Thomas asked for help with your suggestion. And then....Oh no...I'm too busy...I'll just continue to use you, if you dont mind, and post on your site. Sweet !
"writing a business plan" ?? If it takes more than a day to do that, you have no idea.

To be clear, if you are truely writting a business plan, and you take the time to post as many posts as you do, You are taking away from this "business". It may be that you are more interested in formulating a business plan, than actually doing business.

Oh well

Hey "thruthseeker",
Haha! You misspelled my name! :hahaha:

You are very busy, but how do you have the time to post ?
How about you?
I'm not obcessive about my work. Sometimes I come along and post my thoughts. I like it. It's great exercise for my mind. <_<

As much as yours...

Thomas asked for help with your suggestion. And then....Oh no...I'm too busy...I'll just continue to use you, if you dont mind, and post on your site.
Use him? What are you talking about? He gives us this free service. I'm not sure why he did it, but he does, and that's great, and we are thankful for what he did. If I would be using him just because I post here, so would you. It seems to me that's a silly concept which you only come up with to try to demean me to make up for your own shortcomings, to make you "look" "better". <_<

Oh yes, right incredible master. I forgot you are so great and you are able to write a business plan in one day...

That's probably because I'm writting a business plan, rather then implementing it.

Good one! That seems to mean much to you and smurf.

How about you?

I'm not obcessive about my work.

I have noticed. You seem obcessive about your thoughts though.

Sometimes? I guess time is relative like you say.. Like "sometimes" means many times a day.

Use him? What are you talking about? He gives us this free service. I'm not sure why he did it, but he does, and that's great, and we are thankful for what he did. He gives "us"?, "We" are Thankful" ? Who is "we"? Are you part of a team? Either you are delusional, or you really are part of a "team". Have you courage to be without "us", "we" ? Or should any disagrement be met with little gutless jakels bitting at my ankles.

Oh yes, right incredible master. I forgot you are so great and you are able to write a business plan in one day...

You forgot?....If you can show me where that was posted, so that you could have "forgotten" it, I will apologize, otherwise you are just being a smartass. Your love is underwhelming.

That's probably because I'm writting a business plan, rather then implementing it.

Yes. And It is my opinion that you will be still writting this "business plan" for many years to come. Other things are more important than "implementing". Like posting with "we".

Doing business by writting about, is like living by writting about. "You" and "we" and "us" are very good at that.

Thanks for your compassion. (I know, I was just as bad. But you are claiming to be further)?

Well, I don't have time to waste talking with a kid who just wants attention.
So you can either change the subject to the thread, or I will simply let you be the "superstar" that you are...

What? All of the sudden you dont have "time to waste"?

with a kid who just wants attention. Thats funny  :D ... You have been posting to that since you showed up.

I guess that probably worked with the kid forums you are used to. but you just made a long disection of my preveiouse<---(there) post (i am being kind, it was mostly just pointing out a spelling error, and smartass coments<---there is another one)

So you can either change the subject to the thread,

Wow! That is kind of funny too, comming from a guy who thinks this is a formal debate...

I was wondering this morning over a cup of coffee...
How can we search for the ultimate essential objective Truth?

Was the "debate" part, wether you actually had a cup of coffee? Or wether it was really morning?

Or was it the sumation of your rambling thoughts?

But anyways... I think what we need to search for is something which is common to all things...

Ok, I'll bite. No truthman, I think we should search for something that is UN-common to all things!

fu

PS...Hows the business plan going? Are you thru the mission statement yet? Soon there will be goals to set, and competition to consider. Oh well, that can wait. There are spelling errors on the net to correct!
