Surreal! :D What was the point of this post, though, may I ask, my friend? As a note, I'd like to say that my username is actually derived from my friend's use of the word scimitar, pronouncing it scameter, to me, was comic, and memorable, thus I have used it most often for my username.

the Spameter count for today, 6/29, is: (ta-dah!) (drumroll)

3456 spam units!!

ok y'all, as of today- July 6th- the official Spameter count stands at 3500 spam units- even. On May 3rd, when the Spameter count started, it stood at 2853 spam units. So it has taken a little over 2 months for the Spameter count to gain around 650 spam units.

So I'm proposing a summer diversion- when will the Spameter count break 4000 spam units?

Going by the current spam unit gain, in another 2 months- sometime during the 1st full week in Sept- the Spameter count will have gained another 650 spam units. But we only need 150 less- 500- to break the 4000 mark. On May 16th, approximately 2 weeks after the Spameter count was started, it gained 150 spam units to break the 3000 mark. So take off 2 weeks & the Spameter count should break 4000 spam units sometime during the 3rd week of August.

Otoh, according to the active stats, the Spameter count gains 8.3 spam units per day. This would be 58.1 spam units per week. Multiply this by 10 & you get 581 spam units over 10 weeks, which would be the middle of Sept. But we don't need 581 spam units, so take off a week (58.1 spam units) & we're back to the Spameter count breaking 4000 spam units during 1st week of Sept.

So which is it folx? 6 weeks or 8 1/2 weeks? August or Sept? When in August or Sept? Post your bets, I mean comments, here. When do you think the Spameter count will break 4000 spam units? C'mon let's have some fun!! :)

hmmm.... interesting- 2 wks after breaking 3500 spam units, the spameter count is just shy of 100 new spam units. This would be 50 new spam units per wk- down from 75 new spam units in May, & the 58.1 weekly average, But the active stats still stand pat @ 8.3 new spam units per day (58.1 % 7) ;)

this situation merits further monitering.....

Well, one post ago, not including this one, on this day, September 23 2006, I reached 4000. I'd like to say something... *clears his throat*

I have been posting on this board for quite a long time, and I've loved it. There have been struggles yes, and I've felt terrible about myself and others from this board many times, but I feel that the daily pleasure of expressing my self, especially my intellectual self, amongst others attempting the same has been something that has helped me grow incredibly. I have learned more since I've been here and from this board than I probably would have in all of high school, especially about philosophy and science. All of you have been great friends to me and I am honoured to have been given the ability and opportunity and indeed, the gift, to participate on this forum board. Thank you everyone. :)

Right, yes we have a high percentage of urban population. And yes we have a LOT of outback. Takes about 7 hours in a plane to cross it from Tassie to Malaysia. And yes I am sort of a 'farm boy' :P but I don't have my licence yet as I haven't been bothered and inundated with assignments and college etc.

That's pretty much right. Only that area is like that because it is the most fertile. You see the climate pattern is that the western desert area does not hold enough water as the weather patterns come through Australia from the west, which is only salt water. And so basically it involves only the east recieving the bulk of the water.

I do not meditate really, but I do think alot with myself, and from this yes I have considered both the existence and quality of inherent existence. And I have essentially come to conclude that I cannot know if existence is inherent or even real or not, so to consider how it is when assuming that it is inherent is futile. But, if it is assumed that existence is inherent, I don't think it is empty or full. I think that inherent existence simply is.
