Open Letter to Psyche
Hello Psyche,
I have noticed that you have deleted many -if not most- of your posts after your withdrawal from thebigview.com discussion board. While I am not sure what your motivation was, this does unfortunately leave the affected threads with missing context, which makes them difficult to follow.
If everybody took the same freedom, this would obviously leave the board in a vandalised condition. Since this isn't in the interest of its members and readers and since it is my task to keep the discussion board functioning I must respond to this sort of action.
The possiblity to edit and delete submissions retrospectively is a function that I have included as a courtesy to users, so that they can correct mistakes after posting. It was not provided to delete all submissions retrospectively. If this function keeps being abused I will have to disable it, which unfortunately means that this freedom will be taken away from thebigview.com users.
