Yeah... sometimes I like attaching a file in order to show something. Like a paper I wrote or a piece of music to be examined. Unfortunately, we don't seem to have that option... <_<

Oh well, thebigview is almost perfect....

But just a suggestion for improvement... ;)

There are many things one can do in this forum Just take the bull by the horns.
http://newton-i.usefilm.com/images/3/6/3/2/3632/929948-medium.jpg

One can simultaneously meditate
The Brahma Viharas (http://www.vipassana.com/audio_files/bv.ram) ?<-click, and listen to
Heart Perfect Wisdom (http://www.silverlakemusic.com/gi/heartperfectT2.mp3) ?<-click, and listen to if desired.

By clicking on both links, one will hear both playing simultaneously. Since the first one is a little over 4 minutes long, you can reclick on the Heart Perfect Chant again while The Brahma Vihara is playing.

It is not difficult to do, only requires a little patience to do.

You can paste a music file on a post!?!?!? :o

I believe that you can post about anything.

Left click on the properties of the music you want to post.

This will get you a new window. Highlight the Address in that window.
On your keyboard, depress the Ctrl and c keys at the same time, and press OK in the properties window.

On your post, type the name of the music you are sending, and add it by depressing Ctrl and v at the same time.

This should have added the music you are sending.

If that doesn't work, I do not know how to help you.

What Rich described here is called hot-linking. -Thank you, Rich.- You can hot-link content of any type into a message, and it is possible to view images directly if the content provider allows it. When you hot-link content, please make sure that the content owner allows this type of use not only technically but also legally.

Uploading files and attaching media is generally not possible with thebigview.com. I am sorry about this restriction, but at this time I am not ready to deal with the legal implications of third party content uploads. You can still show your files in your message if you first upload it to another server, such as Photobucket (www.photobucket.com), and then create a IMG or LINK tag in your message.

Cheers, Thomas

How would one post a picture, might I ask?

Dear scameter,

To post a picture/IMG,Left click on the properties of the image you want to post.

This will get you a new window. Highlight the Address in that window.
On your keyboard, depress the Ctrl and c keys at the same time, and press OK in the properties window. This step stores the Image in your computer.

Above the post you are making you will see Code Buttons, depress the code button labeled IMG , and add it by depressing Ctrl and v at the same time, from the window you got by pressing the image button.{}. Press OKtransfers the picture to the post you are making.

This should have added the picture to the post you are sending. If you get this message, You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif, I guess we are not allowed to post certain images, on this forum. Then we should ask Thomas Kiernan, our administrator for direction.
