Hello my friends. I know this topic is not the usual one for a philosophical site such as this, but I absolutely love Star Wars. It is the main center of my world, besides my family of course, and I try my best to live in it as often as I can. I practice all it's facets; video games, online games specifically Galaxies, toys, novels, comics, and many other things. I'm sure there'll be some people that don't like it, which is warranted, but I do hope that this site shows more liking towards it than do the arrogant idiots of my public school, which thankfully I am no longer in. I hope this topic turns out well, and if anyone wants to know more about it (I'm not retrafficing btw Thomas :P ), here are some good sites that I myself often frequent: :)

well scameter ... i will say this i am not a fan of star wars i have seen most of them ... i tihnk and i have played some of there games as well

but feel free to share as much as u want i almost 100% sure no one will make fun of ur topic or anything like that and i know how much fun it is to talk about a topic you really enjoy ...

i have found my likeing to be some what more realitic ... thats just me as my brother he is ALL military everything he does or talks about is military involved ... he is still not in the military but he is still working on getting his GED i personaly think he belongs there ... its all he wants even though he knows the terribleness of it ... he isnt stupid ...

but i guess my point is that its ok to get competely sucked into something im not sure if its healthy but if u are happy then awesome thats what matters most ...

for me i was sucked into my relationship with my gf but she hasnt had any time for me and stuff and has kinda seemed a little more rude then normal ... but i kinda of got upset and started to complain about it kind of a lot i wasnt rude to her or anything but lets just say it ended up she doesnt think i love her .. but that im infatuated with her (that im inlove with being inlove with her) she explained it in a way that made me believe it for that night but once morning came and i thought more about it i am in love with this girl ... but she thinks im not whats a guy to do :think:

being sucked into somthing like that can be fun specialy somthing as complex and popular as star wars ur not the first scameter have u ever talked to other people about ur likings? maybe on ur MMO's? i think it would be fun if u found others kind of like u and u chatted with them or somthing ... not that we dont enjoy ur company here im just saying :thumbsup:

lol Since my only MMO is a SW game, yes. :D And my dad loves it just as much as I do, he always has. He's 35, so he essentially grew up with it, and loves it now as much as ever. I'm sorry, well not really lol, to say that I am not too overly fond with the goings-on of society and it's productions. I prefer things such as philosophy, and not political or sociological philosophy, science, and the works of fiction, and particularly fantastic and/or sci-fi fiction. I like The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars is of course my favorite, Star Trek (which in it, the Federation essentially entirely embodies my wish for humanity), and a few others. I don't like all sci-fi or fantasy, but what of it I do like, I love. :)

R2 was remote control part of the time and in a suit in others. :) But, Threepio was always in a suit except in Episode one, in which he stood behind a model and operated it and was removed digitally, and in Ep. 2 and 3, he was digital entirely very often, but of course his voice still remained. :)

oh and peer pressure doesnt work on me :D all the people who know me they know i dont smoke drink or do any kind of drugs or do somthing very stupid the few that do ask just get a no i guess lol im pretty proud of my self for that actualy and my brother and a few other people had told me that i will try it some day but im running 17 years strong :thumbsup:

oh and there is nothing wrong with sex its like one of the most awesome things in the world if u do it right .... and what i mean by do it right is find the right person do it at the right time dont be a stupid teenager and go have sex whenever and go having unwanted kids or anything i believe it can be one of the best things out there i havnt had it myself but just trust me :lol:

I agree entirely Will, and I think it is unfortunate the prejudice it has been inflicted with by prudish organizations such as the church for so many years. It is a very natural and enjoyable experience, though I wouldn't know personally, and it shouldn't be persecuted, unless it is unwanted rape.

True. Pleasure made out of our bodies are temporary. That is not something we should do to get happiness. Love is the base of sex. You cant rape someone and feel happy. Yes your body could.
But your body will charge up again. Then you realise you cant have that happiness for you. Love will do that for you.
