OK, so you have your childhood and the influences upon it through your parents, your friends and your teachers ( et el). Shake, lightly stir and the result is you. Now additional influences are present and they are reacting with the original receipe. And they are important things you hold in high regards; like sex, obligations and freedoms.

The reaction is unsettling and causing a rift in how you act, what you say and ultimately what you believe. Recognizing alot of what's happening is caused by the "big-three", how much control do you have and how much effort is required to make changes to fullfill your new path?

After thought, after the literate fall-out which followed this question:
OK - I read eveyone's responses. And what can I say - Not really big on the help. More like everyone wanting to hear themself think - or write!

For a clearer view on the issue I was sent to the (more informative) bookstore and picked up "Soul without Shame" by Byron Brown. Instead of just spewing on the keyboard, check it out. I know I will.

one has complete control, although with some hinderance based on childhood incidents, but you still have complete control, and the effort necessary is how much you wish to put forth, as is how much you wish to change your situation and how so. :)

..when the moment has come to make a change, there is no need for control for the change happens effortlessly. If one thinks a change is necessary because one is conflicted, often such a change requires much effort and control and quite regularly such changes don't take hold, they won't last. I for one go with the flow, and adapt to a new environment...

..come on now sheera, if you can't string a coherent sentence together, don't expect to be understood. I don't mind talking with you, but if i have to guess what you mean [constantly] i simply won't bother. Please grant me [us] some respect and be clearer in your writings if you want communication outside of posting only smilies. That is what a forum is about, and no, i don't want you to conform or fit in, it's not about that at all, but if you aren't willing to at least attempt to be more intelligible, don't bother posting to me anymore, please?

..before we stopped emailing a couple of years ago, you had no problems communicating coherently with me, despite the fact that on the forums you were starting to write incomprehensibly. This is basically the reason why it doesn't sit right with me. I know that in real life you are not going around talking to people like you do writing to me/other posters, so why do it? These friends you have, do you communicate with them like you do with me/us?
