you know I get error pages sometimes and I don't know why. Refreshing and/or waiting for a few minutes usually does the trick. so...yeah.

Update: I have contacted the hosting company about the frequent SQL errors. They said it's probably due to recent overload on the database server. They have offered me to migrate our database to a new server.
I have decided to go ahead with their suggestion and move within the next few days. There may be a temporary outage.
Cheers, Thomas

Dear Thomas,
If you are going to change servers, consecutively numbering each post for each topic / thread could be advantageous for one to use when they are making a post.
One could want to refer to a post by number which may be on a different page, and could easily find it. Thank you..

Hello!
The move to a different database server has been completed. This should improve performance and -hopefully- eliminate the SQL page errors we have been getting.

The popular phpBB board has that feature; unfortunately iconboard doesn't have it.

In principle, yes. But unfortunately I don't have the time to hack the board software.
