I've begun to study into the world of trigonometry, on my own. i love physics, so i figured it would help me to understand the formulas of the art.if that is not true, then please tell me now, for i want to absorb what will help me in my exploration of physics and the natural world in general.

Trigonometry is very important for physics. You will also need standard plane/solid geometry, standard algebra, analysis and linear algebra at the very least. My personal favorite in mathematics is number theory, although it is probably one of the fields with less relevance to physics.

May i inquire apon you? Do you study everything that is included in the subjects conversed on this site? I mean, do you study mythology, philosophy, science, religion, and the other academic schools of thought on this site?

Yes, these are my fields of interests. I am also planning to add an evolution/biology section, complete the mind/consciousness section and - if I still have more time- add a Hindu philosophy section. However, before I do this, I need to relocate this site to a new host, since the old hosting company is closing down soon. Looks like thebigview.com keeps me busy for a while. :D

You are 15 years old now (senior high school level?) so didn't you already do trigonometry in school?

Actually, i'm 14, and i just finished middle school about a month ago. so no, i haven't taken trig. yet unfortunately. i noticed someone(not sure who) has made a new topic area on here that is called Big Views-Essays. is there anyway that i could post my moral philosophy essay on there? is there is anything i need to do, except monetary donation, i will do it, becauce this is most definitely my favorite site on the web. and i want to contribute to it as much as i can.no other site does what i want to do(study nearly everything in a Renaissance manor) as much as this site does. :)

Hello Scameter,

You already asked me this question by email. Did you get my reply?

No, I didn't. could you post the e-mail here?

if you are starting high school this year and are studying geometry, you might want to practice basic differentiation and intergration, but do that after you have mastered the equations for sin, cos and so forth. calculus is very important for physics, from everything from thermodynamics to quantum mechanics.

for thomas, i cant wait to see the new evolution pages, a topic that is very dear and interesting to me!
