View Full Version : Whose In Charge?

I cannot see why some of these writers insist on trying to demean man's nobility. Don't they realize that we are made in the image of our creator and have been fortunate in addition to acquire a sophisticated education. Really, how much is a person's dignity supposed to tolerate. Read the following:

"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain

Did he really think that if this were the case that we would be oblivious of it and just allow it to continue? No, of course not, We would band together and not allow it to continue.

"We have seen the enemy and he is us." ANONYMOUS

Do these insults just continue on into eternity? No wonder the quote is anonymous. If we knew who made it we would have strung this evil entity up by the gender appropriate appendages for even thinking such things.

Now in the age of rapid information exchange, a committee will be formed of truly informed people that know the value of wonderful thoughts and these in charge will have killed off all those that object to wonderful thoughts leaving only the wonderful people to freely represent and reflect the dignity and nobility of our species.

It took long enough but we'll finally have world peace.

We would band together and not allow it to continue. How could you, if you are more stupid?
Do these insults just continue on into eternity insults?
If we knew who made it we would have strung this evil entity up by the gender appropriate appendages for even thinking such things. I say it. Will you string me up? Or continue to fight wars in your head?

Yes, all you have to do is string up people by the "gender appropriate appendages" who dont agree with your "wonderful thoughts"

I guess I have entered to many "emoticons" to be able to post. So put a great big laugh after every one of your statements, and you will see it for what it should be.
I see now why you use so many dead mens words. When you post on your own, it is ridicules

Well that idea bombed. The post was supposed to be a little tongue in cheek humor directed at our collective imagined self importance inviting similar such responses.

So I guess I'll just stick with being a musician and forget about any stand-up routines. :)

My ex wife said I was impossible. Maybe she was right? No, lets not get too carried away and lose rationality altogether. Time for a cool glass of Merlot and a more pleasant perspective.

Oh, that was tongue-in-cheek! Whew. Maybe be more obvious next time, is all. Keep in mind some of the crazy posts we've seen elsewhere on this site -- it's entirely believable that someone has really whacked-out opinions.

I actually DO think humans are divine. We're just really forgetful, and don't remember our own divinity.

I've finally figured it out. This modern trend of belief in the divinity of man on earth has destroyed humor. We cannot feel free to laugh at the expressions of our own lack of divinity. The humility that allows for the appreciation of our faults is no longer acceptable for divine beings.

Well, as part of a eulogy for real humor that has been replaced by comedy and sarcasm, I give a final salute to one man who when I was still very young and impressionable allowed me to witness many naked emperors and their ability to BS with the best of them.

His name is Jean Shepherd. I remember as a kid being glued to a portable radio under the covers where my parents thought me asleep. Heh heh, how were they to know what was really entering my ears.

Anyhow, one night I heard of the plot to hatch the now infamous I, Libertine affair and must with flushed cheeks, even admit to participating in it as a student asking for a copy of the book at my local book store.

There is no way I could explain this to you without you thinking me more insane than you do now so I did a google search and found this account.

To Bob Kaye, author of this account, I can only say in appreciation for nostalgic chuckles: "Excelsior you Fathead".

Now that we are divine, those days are sadly over. Hmmm.....maybe I'll start developing the new under-underground where those with humility can secretly gather and appreciate human nature again free of the prying eyes of PC police ready to tote you off to the waiting office of your local psychologist for examination and ten milograms of self esteem.

Time for another merlot before beginning planning.

It was Pogo eh! Alright, a possee is being organized. We'll track down that little imp.

I see you're a woman of culture with an acute appreciation of aesthetics. You know the leg lamp. Just click on this thing of beauty to brighten your day. One day I'll get one to decorate the window. The trouble is that some people in my complex have no appreciation for art. Mist be a gevernment conspiracy to keep the people ignorant. Now behold:

How about

"Whoever said the creator must be sober? The universe is for laughing, or we must weep."

Can't remember who said it, though.

The universe is for laughing, or we must weep."

A Sufi Saying:

"When the heart weeps for what it has lost, the Spirit laughs for what it has found."

Makes sense.
